**Job Description Summary:**
Our Enterprise Suite Professional Services Team is looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to provide technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to support our Customers’ Digital Transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill and relevant project experience in at least one of the following focus areas:
+ Infrastructure modernization projects
+ Application modernization projects
+ Process modernization projects
The candidate will also be able to deploy fit for purpose workload in a Hybrid Cloud infrastructure, evolve from monolithic application to Cloud-Native API Microservices, and embrace an enterprise-wide DevOps discipline to deliver application faster.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :
Provide services to customers
+ Works on complex project scope with minimal direction from with Customer/SI nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the deployment Rocket products.
+ Contribute to implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architects.
+ Uses and contributes to technical forums within the Rocket Enterprise Suite environment.
+ Applies own subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common technical issues.
+ Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.
+ Communicates project status and risks to project technical lead and PM.
+ Use technical experience to give customer sound technical advice.
+ Determine if change is a product defect or enhancement before communicating to customer.
+ Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.
**Expected Qualification and Soft Skills**
+ 5-7 years of relevant technical experience
+ Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone manner

+ Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and or maintenance
+ Must have an analytical mind set to analyze test result and facilitate defect resolution

**Requested Technical skills**
Must have Rocket Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer experience.
Additionally, technical skills to include two or more of the following:

**Desired Project Experience**

+ Experience with COBOL modernization and porting application code across platforms.
+ Familiarity with agile engineering practices like Test Automation, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), DevOps, and Test Data Management, etc.
+ Experience developing, deploying, and tuning data modernization solution for mainframe such as IMS/DB, IDMS, ADABAS and VSAM data migration

+ 7+ years of full-stack engineering/solution architecture

*RELEASE MANAGER - EMPOWER LOS*
*WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?*
The Release Manager will be responsible both for establishing and enforcing production release policies and standards as well as the hands-on managing of complex code builds. This manager will be supervising day-to-day code and configuration integration activities for a team of developers and support staff spanning multiple applications, environments and locations. The manager will be responsible for assisting senior level Engineers in developing and maintaining portions of the integration and release processes within the infrastructure, development and support teams. Responsible for a number of multidisciplinary projects at any one time with the objective being to manage the change process by ensuring the timely, safe deployment of changes to the production environment.
*WHAT WILL YOU DO?*
* Establish policies and procedures for Release Management applicable to all groups within the division.
* Recommend and enforce best practices and standards in release management.
* Build and deploy software applications to various environments (UAT, Staging, Production, BCP/DR).
* Create opportunities to automate and enhance Change Management tools, environments, processes and procedures.
* Manage other resources whether they are on loan from other groups for the purpose of a specific release or whether they are dedicated Release Team members.
* Provide leadership in designing and improving the production release processes and related Change Management processes.

* Minimum 1 year experience with application development within a Sharepoint (2010 and above) environment
*Additional Qualifications*
