Job Title: Architectural Designer
Job Description
The Architectural Designer will support high-volume retail store planning and design initiatives, partnering closely with internal design and planning teams to execute drawing packages, update layouts, and coordinate with external consultants. This production-focused role suits someone who can quickly integrate into an established workflow, contribute to active projects with minimal ramp-up time, and consistently deliver accurate, code-compliant, and on-brand project documentation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
+ Support high-volume retail store planning and design initiatives across multiple concurrent projects
+ Prepare, revise, and maintain architectural drawings, layouts, and documentation for retail store environments
+ Update test fits and store plans based on evolving project requirements and feedback from stakeholders
+ Review consultant drawing sets for quality, completeness, and alignment with established standards
+ Execute markups and revisions using Bluebeam Revu or similar markup and review tools
+ Coordinate with internal architectural and store planning teams, as well as external partners, to resolve design questions and issues
+ Track and incorporate feedback, comments, and redlines while adhering to established standards
+ Work under the direction of internal Architectural and Store Planning leadership to ensure consistent project delivery
+ Contribute to construction document production, including layout plans and fixture plans, ensuring clarity and constructability
+ Adapt store layouts to different site conditions, leveraging interior planning experience where applicable
+ Create or revise fixture plans in AutoCAD or Revit to support store planning and design requirements
Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior architecture, or a closely related field
+ 3+ years of professional experience in architectural design, store planning, or a related field
+ Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for creating, modifying, and managing construction documents and fixture plans
+ Experience working with construction documents and drawing sets, including layout plans and fixture plans
+ Experience with consultant coordination workflows, including reviewing and integrating external drawing sets
+ Experience using Bluebeam Revu or similar tools for markups, reviews, and document coordination
+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and consistent drawing sets
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects in a deadline-driven environment
+ Working knowledge of Revit, with the ability to create or revise fixture plans considered a strong plus
+ Experience in high-volume retail store planning or similar multi-site roll-out environments is advantageous
Work Environment
This role operates in a primarily remote work environment. For candidates local to the Chicagoland area, you will be required to travel to Deerfield once a month to visit the office. The schedule follows a Monday through Friday workweek with flexible hours, to be aligned with the manager and maintained consistently once agreed upon. The position initially spans a 4–6 month contract with the possibility of extension and potential conversion.

+ Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audit requirements, service contract requirements, and quality standards.
+ Acts as second level of appeal for client and claimant issues regarding claim specific, procedural or special requests; implements final disposition of the appeal.
+ Reviews reserve amounts on high cost claims and claims over the authority of the individual examiner.
+ Monitors third party claims; maintains periodical review of litigated claims, serious vocational rehabilitation claims, questionable claims and sensitive claims as determined by client.
+ Maintains contact with the client on claims and promotes a professional client relationship; makes recommendations to client as suggested by the claim status; and provides written resumes of specific claims as requested by client.
+ Assures that direct reports are properly licensed in the jurisdictions serviced.
+ Ensures claims files are coded correctly and adequate documentation is made by claims examiners.
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**
